Berkshire Regional Planning Commission (BRPC) is contemplating a new MICROTRANSIT SYSTEM. Finn Vigeland explains microtransit & how it might work in Berkshire County. BPRC wants YOUR FEEDBACK about where, when, how microtransit could operate in Berkshire County. Contact: Anuja Koirala -- akoirala@berkshireplanning.org Microtransit will not replace traditional bus service – it will provide trips within areas underserved by fixed-route service. Here's how microtransit works: - Use an app to book your ride. Pick your start and end point anywhere in the service area. - A vehicle will pick you up wherever you are and take you wherever you want to go in that same zone. - Along your route, the vehicle may pick up other passengers on different trips.
