COVID 19 Emergency Response Fund for B’shire County offers 16 grants of $500. Deadline March 15. Application EASY!

As a THANK YOU & recognition of staff efforts, the 16 grants are to be used toward “staff well-being activities”. Grants will be disbursed quickly.The application is easy to complete.

In appreciation and acknowledgement of this dedicated service through many challenges, Berkshire United Way, Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, Northern Berkshire United Way, and Williamstown Community Chest have partnered to provide 16 mini grants of $500 each toward staff well-being activities. Applicants may determine the specific activities or services that will have the greatest impact on supporting their own staff. Applicants may apply only once. The application is easy to complete and grants will be disbursed quickly.

The recent Omicron surge has added to the toll the pandemic has taken on nonprofit professionals who are consistently providing direct services to our most vulnerable members of the Berkshire County community – whether in early learning classrooms, after-school programs, community health care settings, or other places where under-served communities receive critical resources and referrals.

The Town is seeking input on how to reuse the Route 7/Main Street parcel, the former site of the Spruces Mobile Home Park.  Give your input using this survey form.

 

Nomination papers avail. for elected seats on Select Board, Planning Board, TOWN MODERATOR, Milne Library Trustees DEADLINE March 22.

Pick up nomination papers from W’town Town Clerk for TOWN MODERATOR (3 yr term); 2 seats on Select Board (3 yr term); 1 seat on Planning Board (5 yr term); 4 seats on Milne Library Trustees (3 yr term); 1 seat on the Northern Berkshire Vocational Regional School District Committee which is a three year term.

Completed nomination papers must be returned to the Board of Registrars for certification no later than Tuesday, March 22, 2022.     All signatures must be ink signatures, no electronic signatures are allowed.  Questions regarding running for town office can be addressed by reaching out to the Town Clerk’s Office at npedercini@williamstownma.gov or 413-458-3500 Ext. 101.

Williams ’62 Center welcomes general public to attend events – wearing masks & VAX proof.

Public audiences are required to show proof of full vaccination including a booster. Patrons over 18 will need to present an ID matching the name on your vaccination documentation. All patrons are required to wear a well-fitted KN95 or surgical mask covering your mouth and nose at all times while inside the building. These policies are subject to change at any time.

Williams students, faculty,  staff are only required to show your Williams ID.

Milne Presents: “All About Dog Mushing with Iditarod Racer Karen Land” at the library 6pm, WED, Mr 16.

Karen Land will speak about her experience as a dog musher at the Iditarod, an annual long-distance sled dog race that takes place in Alaska. She will show slides, and all of the gear required for such an endeavor. And her dogs Chloe and Noggin will be there too!  Sign-up to attend this in-person Milne program!
