The Williams College Museum of Art hosted a community forum on October 10, 2024, at the William Inn to kick off the WCMA building project construction phase. Everyone was invited to learn about the project schedule and expectations, review updated designs, and hear from Beka Sturges from our landscape architect, Reed Hildebrand.
A panel discussion moderated by Associate Professor of Art Mari Rodriguez Binnie, featuring short presentations by Joey Terrill, Troy Montes-Michie, and Moises Salazar Tlatenchi, followed by a dialogue delving into the topics of experimental graphics, queerness, and Latinx and Chicanx identities. Held in conjunction with "Teddy Sandoval and the Butch Gardens School of Art."
A celebration of the life and work of James Baldwin on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth. Baldwin was an American writer and civil rights activist who garnered acclaim for his essays, novels, plays, and poems. Beth Fischer, Assistant Curator of Digital Learning & Research, led a tour of the "Cracking the Cosmic Code: Numerology in Medieval Art" exhibition on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, at the Williams College Museum of Art, which aims to elucidate medieval relationships among numbers, events, and works of art.
