Since May, MCLA’s Gallery 51 has highlighted and showcased talented artists from the Berkshire community and across the globe during our live virtual Featured Artist segments. Artists discuss their practice, answer questions in real time, and provide a studio tour through the video call. Our sixth Featured Artist, Kim Faler, is a local, multi-disciplinary artist working in painting, drawing, installation, sculpture, and photography. Her art practice unpacks the emotional weight found within everyday objects and architecture. By adjusting what is deemed foreign and familiar, she questions the value that we have placed on our memories, routines, and on our own understanding of the passage of time.
